Agência FAPESP* –FAPESP and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJ) have published a call for proposals (CFP) for exchange missions under the auspices of a scientific cooperation agreement signed between the two institutions.
The CFP, announced simultaneously by the two institutions, is focused on an exchange of researchers from public or private higher education and research institutions in São Paulo State and at HUJ.
On the São Paulo side, the CFP is open to the principal investigators of ongoing research projects funded by FAPESP under the Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators, or Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs). In Israel, only HUJ researchers are welcome to apply.
For each proposal, principal investigators, doctoral researchers and post-doctoral fellows linked to an ongoing FAPESP project can apply for the exchange program.   
The CFP invites proposals for all fields of knowledge. The duration of the exchange program, a maximum of 24 months, should coincide with the timeframe of the ongoing project supported by FAPESP.
Five proposals will be selected in the CFP to receive a total of US$ 100,000, jointly funded by FAPESP and HUJ. The funding must be utilized to cover expenses related to transportation, living allowances and insurance for the missions.
Proposals for researchers in São Paulo State should be submitted to FAPESP, while those of their Israeli collaborators should be delivered to HUJ. The requests should be presented simultaneously by the researcher in São Paulo State (to FAPESP) and by the collaborator at HUJ by August 15, 2011.
