Agência FAPESP – Registration is open until June 30 for the São Paulo School of Advanced Science in Quantum and Nonlinear Photonics, which is supported by FAPESP.
The event is being organized by the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics at the State University of Campinas (IFGW-UNICAMP) and is part of the São Paulo School of Advanced Science (SPSAS) program. It will take place from November 16 to 27 in Campinas, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
The school aims to bring together 50 international and 50 Brazilian students for two weeks of intensive learning. The program will feature lectures and hands-on courses taught by leading global experts in nanophotonics, nonlinear optics, and quantum optics.
The event will also include “Lunch & Discussion” breaks dedicated to facilitating interaction between students and experts, as well as intensive hands-on activities, including laser shot noise calibration and optical frequency comb generation. There will also be dedicated poster sessions where students will have the opportunity to discuss their research.
Registration must be completed through the SPSAS website. A registration fee of $250 USD will be charged for international students and 500 Brazilian reais for students residing in Brazil. Upon acceptance, selected students will have the opportunity to submit their research papers.
The school will cover airfare, ground transportation, lodging, and meals for students.
