Agência FAPESP – FAPESP and France’s Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (National Center for Scientific Research CNRS) have launched a joint call for proposals for exchange of researchers in São Paulo State and France in the 2012-2013 period, under the auspices of a scientific cooperation agreement among the institutions.

Principal investigators in São Paulo State can submit applications to FAPESP under the following grant programs – Regular Research, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators in Emerging Centers and Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPID). In France, CNRS encourages applications from researchers working in French research institutions that are eligible for CNRS funding.

FAPESP’s Call for Proposals 26/2010 is all open to all fields of scientific and technological knowledge. Each project should last a maximum of 24 months. Approved proposals should be undertaken and completed from January 2012 to December 2013.

Proposals can be submitted until November 16, 2011 and should be presented simultaneously by the São Paulo-based researcher to FAPESP and his/her collaborator in France to CNRS.

FAPESP and CNRS will provide resources of up to 7,000 euros annually throughout the grant period. These resources are solely for travel expenses (tickets, per diems and health insurance).

Funding granted as a result of this call does not have Technical Reserves. Only proposals approved by both entities will be funded.
